There will be a General Meeting of the Mountain Lake Property Owner's Association this Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Killingsworth Cove Volunteer Fire Department #1.
The main purpose of the meeting:
· To review the accomplishments of 2024.
· To provide a venue for the paying of the 2025 membership dues and the issuance of permits.
· To share plans for 2025 and beyond.
· To hear from you on any ideas you might have for what we consider accomplishing in 2025.
· To communicate an upcoming “Workday” followed by a grill-out for all owners of lots or tracts in our Mountain Lake Subdivision, both members and those not already members.
Please address any good ideas, suggestions, available resources and how you can volunteer to President Randy Haines, at haines777@gmail.com, which will add value to our lake.
The board is hopeful that everyone is on board with the continued support of an association established for the expressed reason of preserving, protecting, and maintaining the great value of our Mountain Lake (aka Smith Lake).

Although waterfront properties fluctuate in value like the rest of the real estate market, they consistently sell at a higher price than homes that are not on the water, according to a study of more than 1.2 million residential properties nationwide. Lakefront property is consistently valued at least 25% to 40% higher than inland comps. https://www.homelight.com/blog/how-much-value-does-a-lakefront-add-to-a-property/
